Freelance Artist Benguet, Philippines

The human spirit needs places where nature has not been rearranged by the hands of man.

I am an artist from Benguet, the northern part of the Philippines. Nature, culture and childhood memories inspire me a lot. I belong to the Igorot tribe who were never colonized by the Spanish. We were able to protect our culture. It is also my advocacy to show a glimpse of my culture to the oustide world.
Aside from culture, my love for the environment inspires majority of my works. I believe that each creature has a spirit and we must respect each other. I am currently studying Master of Science in Conservation and Restoration Ecology.
My paintings are mostly small ones, not exceeding 2 feet. I love colors and 3D objects on my paintings. I am inspired by the works of Pacita Abad, Hundertwasser, Klimt, Cordilleran artists, Aboriginal art, African art and everything colorful and rich in detail.
When not working, I love gardening using organic and natural ways. I also enjoy photography and mountaineering.
